WHISTLIN DIXIE

If you are looking for that southern hospitality mentality, look no further. Whistlin Dixie is the perfect spot for you and your family to have a friendly experience in Folkston. It is a great spot to make great memories with even greater food and customer service. Whistlin Dixie is known for their delicious milkshakes and homemade desserts. The fun doesn't stop there. They serve some great meal items including their famous meatloaf sandwich. The specials change daily but there are some great soup and sandwich options available. Whistlin Dixie serves lunch from 11 am-3 pm.

There is a lot of history at the Whistlin Dixie. The building was built in 1929 and was first a grocery store and served the people of Folkston greatly. Dixie's father bought the building in the 1960s and started selling farming supplies. Dixie worked side by side her father, never skipping a beat. Dixie took over when her dad passed away in 1984 and Dixie has expanded Whistlin Dixie to what it is today.

There is a lot to learn and see at Whistlin Dixie and there is definitely more to it than just milkshakes and sandwiches, but you really don't need a better reason to visit other than to try the milkshakes and sandwiches! They are definitely worth the trip! Support the locals and stop in for a superb lunch and even better company! Whistlin Dixie is a gem that is sure to make your day and make you want to return time and time again.
